Gastroparesis Recipes
Peaches and Cream Smoothie
for those with allergies to milk or with lactose intolerance
Place in blender:
1 small carton soy peach yogurt
1 fresh peach, peeled
1 cup rice milk (or more to thin depending on what
your stomach can tolerate).
1 tablespoon rice protein powder
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Blend well and enjoy!

a fun and supportive place for those who live with chronic pain and illness.
I blog (lemon-aide), advocate for those challenged by chronic illness/pain and other disabilities, write poetry and enjoy
reading--poems, novels, and any material that keeps me thinking. I like to keep up with current events, politics, and getting involved online in the causes I
care about.
I live with my hubby of twenty three years in our nest that is emptying quickly. (We have three
children).

When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children's life may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.

I love that poem. (The Peace of Wild Thngs) It expresses most excellently how I feel whenever I can make it to the woods.
